April 16th & 17th 2011
2 Days of fun racing with over 120 entries signed in over 2 combined days.
Thanks to everyone who attended the 2011 Pennsylvania Short Track Championships and helped make it a success. This was the biggest event out of the 3 years. We had 51 entries on Saturday and 71 entries on Sunday. Not too bad for a temporary track. The crowd was much larger than anticipated. We would like to thank Alan Behler, Leslie Behler, Sherri Durich, Karen Bortz and Bill Auchtorlonie along with the whole Strand crew for helping out throughout the weekend.
We are already planning next year’s event. The format looks like it will change slightly so Sunday’s racing doesn’t run so late. The tentative plan is to have 2 rounds of qualifying on Saturday and 2 rounds of Qualifying and mains on Sunday. So if you can’t make Saturday, you still have 2 opportunities to qualify for the mains. We will also reserve the 2nd floor for pit space overflow. We have a year to plan.
